My teachers 🙂 I had great teachers for maths, chemistry and physics in high school who all encouraged me to study engineering…… I refused to listen to them and went to university to study accountancy. They all said I would hate it and they were all right! I switched to engineering after a month or two, and have loved it 🙂

An uncle of mine was an engineer, but it is mostly my own interests that have driven me here. I came to the medical field 4.5 years ago from an industrial printer background because I wanted something new and I liked the idea of helping people with their health

My dad was an electronics engineer before he retired and he loved his job.
He always encouraged me to be curious about the world around me (including how inventions worked).
Once, for a few months, I saw him keep finishing off some work at home, which I found odd. Eventually, I found out he’d been finishing off a safety system – he’d wanted to keep people safe. That really inspired me! It showed me how engineering can help people and how passionate engineers can be for their work!
