I studied in France so it is a bit different, we only get one exam at the end of what would be the equivalent of 6th form. We could not drop subjects, they just had different weightings depending what your speciality was. Mine was maths and physics, which had a weight of 5, but I also did biology, history, geography, english, german, french, they all had a lesser weight. My overall grade was 12/20, I think that is a B, maybe a B minus.

      I’m from Scotland so I did Highers – I did Maths (A), Chemistry (A), Physics (A), Music (A), English (B) and Information Systems (B)
Highers are a little bit below A-Levels, but we do them in one year, and we could also take Advanced Highers that are a little bit harder than A-levels and do them in our final year. Mainly people who wanted to study medicine or go to a University in England would take 3 Advanced Highers. I didn’t so I had a lot of free periods in 6th year!

I assume by AS and A levels, you mean class 11 and class 12. I did my schooling in India, so the grading works quite differently (We have marks instead of grades). My subjects were mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. I secured 200/200, 189/200, 198/200 and 193/200 in maths, physics, chemistry and biology respectively.
