My favourite thing is that it’s a combination of all of these – I’m really glad art is now included 🙂 It makes so much sense to include creativity in the mix, because it’s essential for science, tech, engineering and maths!

I love that I get to work in all of these areas, that’s part of what makes my job so much fun. It’s also great that we get to talk to people about what we do – research used to be very much behind closed doors, but talking to people about what we do and finding out from them what they would find useful really helps us to research and create things that people actually want!

How it brings people from the different backgrounds (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Maths) together to create loads of new ideas, technologies, products and inventions, which make the world a better place!
You can make much better things if you have people working on it from the different areas, and STEAM lets them do this!

Letting it out… sorry… bad joke. I’m used to see STEM. Engineering is about using Sciences and Maths to create Technology… so all of thr above

That it’s not all about maths and science! Working with people who see the world differently – like artists – means we can find more (and often better) solutions to problems.
