• Question: How much would you like the money?

      I’d love to be able to buy some STEM kits for my local schools, I like k’nex but my mind isn’t set http://www.knex.co.uk/knex-education/

      I would like it very much to show people in remote areas science which they wouldn’t get to see otherwise

      A lot!

      I want to use it to buy a 3D printer for a school, and let students learn to 3D print 🙂 It would let them learn engineering & design skills, as well as be creative!

    Hi Emily, I find K’Nex kit to be great piece of inspiration for STEM subjects (maths, physics, even biology)

    Hi Emily,

    I want to take it to remote areas as they often get ignored, and lots of people in remote areas can’t visit a science museum or go to a science festival so it’s really important to bring engineering and science to them – someone there might be amazing at engineering but might not consider it because they have never met an engineer or know what an engineer does!

    Hey Emily, a 3D printer can help out loads with learning, because you can print stuff like animal & plant cell models in biology, molecules in chemistry, & atoms in physics. And it helps out in Art & Design because you can make artworks with it! And all the while whilst students are making these things, they are learning design and engineering skills! Some of them might even go on to work in 3D printing- it’s now a $5 billion industry! I know loads of people who work in it now

    The school could make a 3D Printing Club and display all their printed artworks! Maybe they could even 3D print a model of the school for visitors…
