I think you should just try your very best, and see what grades you end up with, then getting worried about getting As!

It depends how comfortable you are with the subject. My eldest daughter is in year 11 and she spends maybe an hour every evening and around 4 hours over the weekend doing homework and revising, she has predicted A in several subjects but the grade you get is not only about the amount of work you put in. Some find it easier than others.

It is worth saying too that you don’t need A everywhere, a lot depends what 6th form you want to go to, look at their admissions policy, go to open evenings, you will find out what they ask for at GCSE to let you study a subject.

I didn’t do the same type of exams as you will because I’m from Scotland but I would just say that if you’ve tried your best then that’s more important than getting A’s. However long it takes for you to understand what you are doing in class and be able to answer the questions is enough I think – that’s different for everyone.

I did my schooling in India and it is quite different in grading students. But regardless of that, I think it needs lot of revision and practise to understand the concept quite well, which is very crucial for getting As.
